Mahidol University cordially invites the public to join in greeting Her Royal Highness Princess Soamsawali Phravararajatinuddamatu at the opening ceremony of Mahidol - Mother's Day on August 8, 2014, 10.30 am, at the Office of President, Mahidol University, Salaya.
The event celebrates the birthday of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit on August 12, which is also National Mother's Day. Activities include academic exhibitions on Mother's Day and family institution, free medical check-up, outstanding mothers award presentation, and lullaby singing contest, according to Asst. Prof. Phira Sithiamnuai, D.M.D., Vice President for Administration and University Council Secretary.
This year's program features a traditional Thai textile exhibition, Thai and Burmese lullaby singing contest, an exhibition honoring Her Majesty the Queen and academic exhibitions. From 7 am to 2 pm, members of the public can get a wide range of free medical services and check-up from dental treatment, nutritional status assessment, bone density test, obesity consultation, physical therapy, physical fitness test, Thai massage, influenza vaccination to blood glucose test (note: to take the test you are advised to stop eating and drinking after 8 pm the night before).
