On 4 April 2008, Mahidol
University signed agreement
with QS Education Trust
for the invitation to host
"6th Asia Pacific
Professional Leaders in
Education Conference and
Exhibition 2010".
Clin. Prof. Piyasakol Sakolsatayadorn,
M.D., President of Mahidol
University stated that with
the aim to reach top 100
universities in the world
in the next 4 years, the
University must develop
international programs that
attain international standard,
which must be thoroughly
support by the faculty members,
administrators, and personnel.
Teaching and learning must
also be developed along
with supportive systems.
This consistent development
in teaching and learning
at Mahidol University allows
Mr. Ben Sowter, Chief Researcher
and Data Analyzer of the
Times Higher Education from
THES
– QS World University
Rankings to recognize
and rank Mahidol University
in THES – QS World
University Rankings. Therefore,
Mahidol University receives
the honor from QS Quacquarelli
Symonds, QS Education Trust
(QSET) to host 6th Asia
Pacific Professional Leaders
in Education Conference
and Exhibition 2010, which
is an annual conference.
First Asia Pacific Professional
Leaders in Education Conference
and Exhibition was hosted
by Singapore twice, while
the 3rd conference took
place in Hong Kong. This
year, the conference will
be held in Korea. Malaysia
will host the conference
in 2009, and Mahidol University,
Thailand will host this
conference in 2010.
The
president of Mahidol University
added that as an academic
institution in Asia Pacific
Mahidol University strongly
promotes international education.
Thus, we received this invitation
to host the conference.
Approximately 1,000 administrative
personnel from universities
in Asia Pacific, Europe,
America, and Australia will
attend this conference as
well as exhibition from
many universities.
