The
Thailand Toray Science Foundation
(TTSF) gives awards and
grants to institutes, scientists
or researchers in Thailand
each year to support the
progress of ‘Science
and Technology’ in
Thailand. In 2007, the
Institute of Molecular Biology
and Genetics, Mahidol
University received a ‘Science
& Technology Award’
for their outstanding research
in Molecular Biology, Molecular
Genetics, and Genetic Engineering.
As for the
‘Science & Research
Grants’, Asst. Prof.
Chutima Kuhakarn from the
Faculty of Science was
awarded a grant for “Development
of Difluorophehylsulfanylmethane
as a New Alternative Formylating
Agent of Aromatic Compounds”.
The awards were presented
on February 11, 2008 at
the Swissotel Nai Lert Park,
Bangkok.
