| The project for the set up of
Human
Rights Studies and Social Development
Center, Faculty of Graduate
Studies, Mahidol University in
collaboration with the University
of California Berkeley War Crimes
Studies Center and East West Center,
University of Hawaii, organized
international training entitled,
“Asia-Pacific Transitional
Justice and Peace-building”
between 11-24 May 2008 at Siam
City Hotel.
Participants came from various
countries in Asia Pacific region
such as Philippines, Malaysia,
Cambodia, Myanmar, Indonesia,
Pakistan, East Timor, US, and
Thailand. The aim of the training
is to exchange knowledge and experience
regarding the transition of justice
in Asia Pacific region as well
as the mechanic in transition
of justice, interrogation of conflict,
method of interrogation, scope
of legal jurisdiction during conflict,
surveillance and reporting of
human rights, and peace initiation.
