With
many important contributions,
Assoc. Prof. Surin Soo-amponm
was selected to receive
Mahidol University Award
for Outstanding Service
2008. Throughout his 12
years in service, Assoc.
Prof. Surin Soo-ampon,
Department of Physiology
and Biochemistry, Faculty
of Dentistry, Mahidol University,
dedicated himself to his
dental students and to
those in need. His principles
are to provide quality
service to the public equally
and justly, which follows
the service policy of the
Faculty of Dentistry. Enjoying
his work is also as important
for him.
In
2005, HRH Princess Maha
Chakri Sirindhorn bestowed
an honorary pin upon Assoc.
Prof. Surin for supporting
Royal Project because of
his involvement in directing
and developing the Royal
Dental Unit and Royal Mobile
Dental Service. Assoc.
Prof. Surin has been active
in the Royal Dental Project
since 1998. This Project
provides dental service
to students and those in
need. Since 2002, he participated
in mobile dental unit that
service on public holidays
and special events such
as “Mahidol-Mother’s Day,”
the auspicious occasion
of Her Majesty the Queen
Sirikit’s birthday. Over
200 services were provided
with a total of more than
100,000 service recipients.
Services include dental
fillings, extractions,
restoration, dentures,
and dental education.
