Center for Genetic Engineering
and Biotechnology (BIOTEC),
National Science and Technology
Development Agency, Ministry
of Science and Technology
held a press conference
“Thai researcher collaborated
with foreign researcher
to successfully Mapp Human
Genetic Diversity in Asia
– a publication in Science”
under the project “Mapping
Human Genetic Diversity
in Asia.” Dr. Khunying
Kalaya Sophonpanich, Minister
of Science and Technology
chaired the press conference.
"The
benefit from this research
will bring about an understanding
of human genetic changes
from the past to the present.
This knowledge will be
useful in research, epidemiology,
forensic science, and human
genetics. Future research
will head toward the study
of genetic diseases as
well as seek their cure."
