On Friday, 29^thJanuary, 2010, Clin. Prof. Piyasakol Sakolsatayadorn, President of Mahidol University presided over at a luncheon in honor of the Prince Mahidol Award 2009 Awardees at Royal Princess Hotel, Bangkok.

The Prince Mahidol Award 2009 in the field of medicine is given to Professor Anne Mills, Professor of Health Economics and Policy, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, University of London, United Kingdom and the Prince Mahidol Award 2009 in the field of public health is jointly awarded to Dr. Wiwat Rojanapithayakorn, World Health Organization Representative for Mongolia, Former first Director, Prevention and Control of AIDS Center, Ministry of Public Health, Thailand and Mr. Mechai Viravaidya, Founder and Chairman, Population and Community Development Association, Thailand.
