On June 30, 2010, Assoc.Prof. Emorn Wasantwisut, Vice President for International Relations, chaired the opening of the annual Mahidol University International Day 2010. This event allows international students to meet and greet each other. They also learned more about Mahidol University and Thai culture. Fun activities include Mr. & Ms. Mahidol University International Day 2010 contest, traditional Thai performance, prize drawing, and various games. Food and beverage and souvenirs were available for the students to enjoy. More than 500 participants from 35 countries, including both Thai and international students, attended this event. The event was organized at the 5th floor, Queen Sirikit’s Medical Center, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University.
At the same time, at Faculty of Science, Mahidol University, Prof. Napatawn Banchuin, Vice President of Mahidol University, presented a souvenir to the Ambassador Naveen Prakash Jung Shah, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Nepal to the Kingdom of Thailand, who attended a forum to reflect the past. Ambassador Naveen was an alumni of the Faculty of Public Health, Mahidol University. A presentation of scholarships such as European Union Scholarship, NUFFIC NESO, and Fulbright, also took place in this event.
