Associate Professor Dr. Theeralaksna Suddhasthira, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, Mahidol University, presented her lecture, “Application of Competency-based Dentistry Curriculum in SE Asia” at the First SEARAME International Conference and Fifth Indonesian Scientific Medical Education Expo and Meeting in Indonesia from November 20 to 22, 2010.

         The first purpose of this conference was to provide a forum for medical and health profession practitioners in South East Asia countries to share best practices, experiences, obstacles and achievement in educating future medical doctors and health professionals and the second was to become leverages for change in medical and health profession education experts to develop theories and concepts inductively developed based on local wisdoms and indigenous practices.
