On Wednesday 2^nd, March, 2011, Mahidol University had organized the 42^nd Anniversary of the Royal Bestowal of Mahidol University’s name and 123^rd Anniversary Celebration of Mahidol University at Office of the President, Salaya Campus.

This special occasion started in early morning, Clin. Prof. Piyasakol Sakolsatayadorn M.D., President of Mahidol University presided over the Buddhist ceremony and homage-paying ceremony at H.R.H. Prince Mahidol of Songkla Statue. After that, the President opened exhibition of art works and Mahidol University products. At 9.00 am., all of guests from every faculties and institutes attended the 6^th Prof. Dr. Kasarn Chitikavanich Memorial Lecture entitled “Empowering Communities through Education Revolution and Rural Development” by Mr. Mechai Viravidya, The Prince Mahidol Award 2009 Awadee in the field of Public Health. Morning program finished with Gratitude and appreciation ceremony for elder Mahidol teachers.

Afternoon program began at 1.30 pm. in Prof. Dr. Jajaval Osathanondh, M.D. Lecture Room, the President and administrative board presented awards to honor guests and Mahidol University personnel. Finally, the President presided over closing ceremony of Mahidol University Personnel Sport competition at Football Field 1.

Along with main ceremony in Lecture Room, Mahidol University has organized activities for public by free health checkup and dental services at hallway in office of the President, Mahidol University, Salaya Campus. [More….]
