Mahidol University won a Creative Award for Best International Print Advertisement at the 7th QS-APPLE, co-hosted by University of Santo Tomas from November 15-19 in Manila, Philippines.
          QS-APPLE is the prime conference and exhibition for international educators in Asia-Pacific.
          More than 500 delegates including university administrators and academics in 31 countries attended this year’s event, held under the theme “Helping to Build World-Class Universities for Asia-Pacific Communities through Global Partnership and Collaboration”. Two educators from Mahidol University were among the speakers selected to make presentations at the conference.
          Puwat Charukamnoetkanok, MD., assistant to the President for International Relations gave a presentation titled “Internationalization of university staff at Mahidol University” while Prof. Banchong Mahaisavariya, dean of Faculty of Graduate Studies made another titled “Opportunities for post graduate study by the disabled: North-south-south cooperation.
          Mahidol University opened an exhibition booth at the event for public relations and networking with other institutions. The 8th QS-APPLE conference and exhibition will take place in Bali, Indonesia in 2012, with Bogor Agricultural University as the co-host.
