On August 8, 2012, at Office of the President, Her Royal Highness Princess Somsawalee presided over the opening ceremony of “Mahidol University Mother’s Day 2012” that the University had organized to celebrate the auspicious occasion of for Her Majesty Queen Sirikit's 80th birthday on 12 August 2012.

        In this special event, Mahidol University also organized “The Outstanding Mom Award”, “The Century Mom Award”, “The Environmental Caring Mom Award” and “The Four-Region Lullaby Singing Award”. The other activity is free health checkup and dental service for public that coming to join this event.
