MU Vice President for Research and Academic Affairs Prof. Dr. Sansanee Chaiyaroj opened the training program on “Enhancing Knowledge in Ethics in Human Subjects Research” on January 25, 2011 at Mahidol University International College, Salaya.

         The two-day program comprised basic and advanced course groups. The basic courses included lectures by Dr. Jeanne Tuel Grace on “Ethical Guidelines and International Regulations (US, EU)” and “Role and Responsibilities of Research Institutes, IRB/EC, Investigators”. The advanced courses are a lecture by Dr. Jeanne Tuel Grace on “Genetic Research and Stem Cell Research: Biomedical and Social Effects” and group discussions on subjects such as informed consent process and genetic counseling.
