aim of this camp is to improve
the ability of the young saxophonist
and prepare them to the World
Saxophone Congress that Bangkok
will be the host at a reception
on July, 8-12 2009.
In this 2nd Thailand
International Soloist Saxophone
Summer Camp 2008, there are international
delegates from Taiwan, Singapore,
Malaysia, and Thailand.
We had the honor
to have Jean-Marie Londeix,
the best classical saxophonist
in the world, as the teacher.

Biography
Jean-Marie
Londeix (September 20, 1932) is
a French saxophonist born in Libourne
who studied saxophone, piano,
harmony and chamber music.
Jean-Marie Londeix took classes
with the legendary Marcel Mule
at the Paris Conservatory. He
also studied with Fernand Oubradous
and Norbert Dufourcq, among others.
He then served as the saxophone
instructor at the Conservatory
of Dijon for 18 years. He retired
from the National Conservatory
of Bordeaux in France in 2001.
He is the founder
of the "French Saxophonists
Association" and the "International
Saxophone Committee". More
than 100 varied compositions have
been written specifically for
him, and he has published several
pedagogical works. Londeix pioneered
as a saxophone performer around
the world, many times giving the
first solo saxophone performance
of these international concert
halls. Some famous saxophone players
that have studied with him include
Russell Peterson and Ryo Noda.
